“Take a trendy husband-and-wife architect team, add an unmodernised flat with potential and the jaw droppingly tight deadline of the impending birth of their new baby and what do you get? A minimally beautiful and calm space, finished in the time it takes most of us to design one room.

Yet such an achievement is never quite as easy as it sounds.

For Milla and Chris Gough-Willetts, whose chic flat this is, much careful budgeting, not to mention space planning, also went into shaping their live/work zone. And with baby Georgina about to arrive, cool heads (and organisation) were a major requirement.

Milla laughs. “We’ve just done exactly what we normally advise our clients against,” she says, adding that building work and new babies don’t mix, and that, even with their “architect” hats on, it was seriously touch and go.” (via the Evening Standard)

They decided to include Czech & Speake DCA/FSD Collection fittings for their bathrooms, for a beautiful, beautral and sleek space.

Special thank you to Studio Azzuro and Winfried Heinze for the photos.
