THE STORY BEHIND THE SCENT
“As a designer developing a new fragrance, the challenge I set for myself is to imagine the whole finished product. The concept, graphics, packaging, bottle colouring, and above all else, the ultimate finessed fragrance, I really have to really love and be excited by it. When developing Perfecto Fino, I already knew I wanted something that-to me-represented Central America.”
“The graphics were to be reminiscent of old cigar boxes. The fragrance, a spicy floral, almost vegetal, scent, with deep acidic influences. The composition was to be built around powerful, woody sharp notes, with intensive leather notes that can be instantly recognised. By version five, the process of refinement had developed the Perfecto Fino scent that we have today –both deeply sensuous and exciting”
